THE SART GUILD

The SART Guild was organized in 2000 to promote and support SART.

The Guild is comprised on individuals from all over Western North Carolina who want to be a part of an exciting and creative group. The Guild strives to bring the best in professional theatre productions to Western North Carolina each year.

The 100+ SART Guild members are dedicated to: advancing SART as THE premier summer theatre in Western North Carolina; refurbishing and improving the appearance and function of Owen Theater; helping SART flourish, maintain artistic excellence and financial stability.

Your experience at every SART performance is enhanced by the efforts of the Guild. Members serve as ushers, backstage dressers, on stage extras, offer actors and playwrights transportation, and even provide housing.

Should you attend an opening night performance of SART, you will find Guild members hosting a post-performance reception on the Mars Hill College lawn, replete with delicious delicacies provided by Guild members. Theatre patrons and cast members mingle in the warmth of a summer night. Other social activities sponsored by the Guild include the Guild’s Annual Meeting, the Community Holiday Celebration and Summer Picnic.

Membership is simple—just send your name and contact information (mailing address, telephone number, and email address), with a check made payable to "The SART Guild" for annual membership dues ($25/individual, $35/couple, $50/sustaining, $100/patron), to the following address:
